Interview 1:

  • What is your current employment status and where are you employed? Real Estate Assistant, owner wants her to be an independent contractor and "I don't want to do that". Owner is not organized and this is frustrating for her as she undoes all the systems in place.
  • If I were to ask some of your family and friends to describe you, what would they say? Hard worker, dedicated, organized, shows up to work, don't take too much time off, 100% dedicated. Worked for 20 years 45 minutes from work and never had a snow day, was never late, and had a better attendance record compared to those who lived closer to the office.
  • Tell me a little bit about your previous administrative assistant positions. Normal admin assist duties, but enjoyed being a closing assistant, completed listings, moved into a back office handling all transactions, radon estimates, termite estimates, writing addendum, when a mark on the title happened she handled that, attorneys or title companies, everything that had to be done to get it closed she was a part of completing.
  • What have you done to improve your skills as an office assistant? Real estate licence in PA, just completed Spanish classes, MLS meetings when changed sales and listing agreements, programs for soft pro and others, did all the letters for closing company after extensive training,
  • What other type of duties have you handled in previous positions? Title searches, vacation resort market, was the go to person for the company she worked for 20 years.
  • Do you have any Real Estate experience? Yes, license in another state..will take courses in the Fall for new state license.
  • What has been your favorite position that you have held? Closing Services- loved the job because she was a natural problem solver and many happy clients,
  • What skills do you consider your greatest strengths? I finish a job/task, no matter what....making the job work for the client and the company, making others very happy
  • Why would you want to work here, and what do you know about our organization? Looked at his site, how many agents and other factors appeal to her. Working now for a team of 4, but has doubts of her current boss and her ability to take the office to a higher level as she struggles now. She likes the set up of client's business as viewed on the website, makes client look like he is established and wants to work for an established agent, wants to work for a company that has the power to exceed what they are doing now.
  • What makes you a great fit for this position? Worked in real estate 20 years, mastered listing and sales agreements, knows how to answer questions and get answers when needed. Great people person, teachable and teaches.
  • What type of schedule are you looking to work? Full time 8:30-5 or 8:30 - 4:00
  • Would you be available to work extra hours if needed?Yes
  • Is there anything else that you would want the TEAM to know about you while they consider who to grant in-person interviews to? A closing coordinator was her favorite position she has held. Has no problems driving to clients office, has worked 45 minutes from her job in the past 20 years, and she has no problems driving in snow. Distance is not a problem for her and would not wish to have that held against her in consideration for this position. Previously lived in PA and dealt with snow and driving in snow.

NOTES: Candidate has a great sense of humor, very knowledgeable in the tasks she has completed, easy to talk to, great energy, and a positive attitude when encountering difficult situations in real estate closings. She sounds like a natural problem solver who enjoys the challenge and finding a solution that makes the client and the company happy.

Interview 2:


  • What is your current employment status and where are you employed? Consultant for Weight loss company; involves sales and admin functions – not doing Real Estate because she went through a life changing event while Real Estate market was down needed steady income. Wants to get back into Real Estate
  • If I were to ask some of your family and friends to describe you, what would they say? Loyal, Hard-working, personable, funny, very good with people
  • Tell me a little bit about your previous administrative assistant positions. Worked for father in broker firm office – answer phones, transaction coordinating, assisted loan processor, ordering appraisals
  • What have you done to improve your skills as an office assistant? Grown as an admin through her experience, taken classes occasionally
  • What other type of duties have you handled in previous positions? Dance classes, sales calls
  • Do you have any Real Estate experience? Assisted father/broker in his office prior to his health deteriorating.
  • Do you have your Real Estate license? If so – when was it obtained? Received licensed in 1984.
  • What has been your favorite position that you have held? Enjoys working with people in Real Estate and showing houses and enjoys working with people currently at Weight Loss company.

Interview 3:


  • What is your current employment status and where are you employed? Not currently employed, company closed their CA office
  • If I were to ask some of your family and friends to describe you, what would they say? Bubbly, outgoing, overachiever, good mom, loyal, overall a good person,
  • Tell me a little bit about your previous administrative assistant positions. Pretty much did everything with previous Real Estate Company, started as a receptionist and began to supervised receptionists, special project manager, transformed the office to a paperless office, training staff and agents, installation of software in the office, overall business operations, assistant to the president and ended as VP of the office.
  • What have you done to improve your skills as an office assistant? Trainings, seminars, broker/owner meetings, conventions, love to learn and grow
  • What other type of duties have you handled in previous positions? Started with Real Estate Company when she was 18 as a receptionist
  • Do you have any Real Estate experience? Has worked with Real Estate Company 12 years, started as a receptionist and moved up to VP of Operations
  • Do you have your Real Estate license? If so – when was it obtained 2013 for California, FL since 2004
  • What has been your favorite position that you have held? VP of Operations
  • What skills do you consider your greatest strengths? The ability to get the job done, handles pressure well
  • Do you have any other sales experience? family or own property bought and sold
  • Why would you want to work here, and what do you know about our organization? I want to move back into Real Estate and can be a huge asset because of my extensive knowledge
  • What makes you a great fit for this position? :Experience and background, likes to help people, love of learning, and outgoing personality

I have the ability to work with multiple personalities, sympathetic, caring, handle the tough to the nicest people you meet, administrative focused, outgoing creative.

Notes: Candidate has a great personality, energetic, and knows a lot about Real Estate and has most of her experience since she was 18 working up through Real Estate. She has a great communication style that is very engaging, respectful, and knowledgeable.
